Go back to the 2016 conference agenda(Optional) 45 minutes activity class: Finding your unique fit as a piece of the peace
Saturday 10/08, 8am – 8:45am
From playful paths to meaningful moments, the labyrinth offers much more than a walking meditation. In this year’s offering for Laughter Wellness, Lynda brings a parachute labyrinth that is traveling with her worldwide as a peace project; offering individuals the opportunity to find their fit as a piece of the peace. Participants will engage in some thought provoking questions around the puzzles of life purpose and contribution discovered through a mirthful experience and a related meditative walk. The concluding activity activates a destination for that purpose and creates a confirmation with your piece of the peace.
- Participants will define concepts and narrow to arrive at a specific outcome.
- Participants will evaluate options to navigate the meditative experience.
- Participants will contrast and affirm personal development and metaphor.
- Participants will differentiate the mirthful laughter experience and evaluate the more mindful silent meditative walk.
- Participants will formulate a statement that uniquely describes contribution and purpose individually for a global collective.
Saturday 10/08, 4pm – 4:45pm
Curiously questioning the form and function of laughter, a simple concept was launched for the month of July of 2008 for the pure pleasure of a laughing community both telephonically lead and in person. In 2009, it was introduced again as a formal month long plan with purpose to define value for practice and create a more infinite understanding of our personal development with laughter. Since that time the program has been offered annually during July, including new aspects for enhanced development such as behavioral assessment, listening skills and articulation. Seven years later, what started as a fun idea has become an anecdotal and pilot study of laughter and research that supports techniques for exploring and expanding personal understanding as well as offering concepts for the laughter professional to share.
- Participants will differentiate affective results of abdominal, thoracic and clavicular laughter exercise and technique.
- Participants will identify techniques and their affective applications with demonstrated and integrative participation.
- Participants will recognize gradual implementation techniques to target variable and specific beneficial results.
- Participants will assess techniques with measurable emotional responses.
- Participants will formulate new program content for personal development.
